For a third of women, the premenstrual period, which begins 1 to 2 weeks before their period, is accompanied by a series of discomforts, which may become very disturbing in intensity.

Pre-ms combines two substances of plant origin that contribute to hormonal balance during the premenstrual period.

Evening primrose oil: Oenothera is called the ‘evening primrose’ because its yellow flowers open at night and close in the morning. The oil that is extracted from its seeds contains gamma linolenic acid (GLA). This is an omega-6 fatty acid that is normally produced in the body from essential fatty acids in the diet. Optimising the transformation of fatty acids into GLA helps to make women feel more comfortable during the premenstrual period.

The essential oil of lavender: obtained by distillation of its flowers, has a recognised calming power. Lavender essential oil acts on the unpleasant sensations characteristic of premenstrual periods, particularly mood swings.

HOW TO USE

Adults and children from 12 years Take 1 capsule in the morning and evening
after meals* from day 15** to day 28 of the cycle (for 14 days).
  • To keep track more easily, use the calendars printed on the box or on the facing page to mark the first day of your period and the first day that you take pre-ms.
  • The package is designed for 3 cycles. It contains 6 blister packs of 14 capsules each.
  • Use two blister packs for each cycle. Use the capsules corresponding to the days of the week that are printed on the blister packs to avoid forgetting a dose.
  • Always use up both blister packs during each cycle.

It generally takes 2 to 3 months to achieve optimal results.
Courses of pre-ms may be repeated as often as necessary, and without any limitations over time.

*If you forget to take a capsule, take two capsules the next time.
**The 15th day of the cycle is 14 days after the onset of the menses.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking anticoagulants or anti-platelets.
  • Undesirable effects: Although virtually non-toxic at usual doses, evening primrose oil may exceptionally cause slight nausea, upset stomach, stomach ache or headache, as well as slight diarrhoea.
